Ted Glenn on the History of the Humber River’s Cyclist Corps
Join us for a presentation by Ted Glenn, educator, author and historian based in Toronto. Ted’s book Riding into Battle: Canadian Cyclists in the Great War chronicles the history of the bicycle corps trained in the Humber River Valley.

Celebrating the Humber
To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Humber River’s Designation by the Canadian Heritage Rivers Board, join us for an illustrated talk about the Humber River, Canada’s 26th Heritage River. Local historian Madeleine McDowell will discuss the Humber’s history from Aboriginal to current times and its unique place amongst the rivers of Canada.
