Past Event: Thursday, June 3, 2021, 7PM EDT: The Junction in the 1980s – Planning for the WTJHS

Beate will engage in a rambling walk down memory lane as a City of Toronto community planner for the West Toronto Junction and the Junction Triangle during the early 1980’s.
Beate Bowron worked as a planner for the old and new City of Toronto for over 25 years. In the early 1980’s she worked out of a storefront site office on Dundas Street West east of Keele Street. Since leaving the City in 2003, she has been active nationally and internationally helping planners and local governments plan for climate change adaptation. Most recently, Ms. Bowron’s focus has shifted to redrawing municipal ward boundaries as well as the boundaries of the areas school trustees represent.
