Chair of the Board (member of the Board of Directors)

Description

The Chair of the Board is appointed by the Board of Directors.

The Chair is responsible to:

  • preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the Members (the Vice-Chair may preside if the Chair is not able to attend a meeting)
  • develop agendas for meetings of the Board and of the Members
  • be one of the signing officers on behalf of the Society
  • carry out such other duties as the Board may specify

Skills

In conjunction with the Vice Chair, the Chair of the Board is able to provide leadership to the Board of Directors.  Awareness of good meeting procedures or willingness to learn.

Location

Preference for an individual living in or near West Toronto Junction and/or a WTJHS member.

Expectations
