WW I in the Junction
Please join us on November 3rd, 2016 when the West Toronto Junction Historical Society presents local storyteller, John Beram, speaking about World War I. John spoke to the WTJHS this past June about the Toronto Stockyards and his presentation was a great success. We are confident that John’s presentation at our November meeting will be equally excellent.
As it is November and Remembrance is on our minds, John will briefly discuss the factors that led to the 4 year conflict that convulsed Europe and the world. Using his own research into the conflict John will present three local Junction stories to illustrate the nature of the conflict, the people involved, and the impact of the war upon Toronto.
Please come for 7:00 pm to greet old friends and meet new ones. Our business meeting starts at 7:30 pm. After a short refreshment break the presentation will begin at 8:15 pm.
